I was on a recent hike with one of our local clubs. We gained over 4,000 feet elevation and I started cramping up at the summit. I was really concerned about getting off that mountain. After all, I had a full quart of Gatorade®* in my water bladder. A fellow hiker had some elete with him and gave me a drink, probably about a half pint. I kid you not when I tell you that the cramps instantly went away and I was able to continue on. I firmly believe in this drink and will use it from now on.

Lanny (U.S. Champion) and Tracy (3rd Place, U.S. Nationals) Barnes, Olympian biathletes, North American and U.S. National Championship:elete™ Electrolyte Add-In has been a huge contributing factor to our success. Your body needs the important electrolytes elete™ has to perform and compete at a high level. Not only are elete™ electrolytes important in racing, but training as well. It helps to keep our muscles from cramping during exercise as well as speeds recovery by replenishing important electrolytes. With the demanding training and racing schedule we have in a biathlon, we use elete™ electrolytes to keep us performing at our best.

Re CitriLyte:- We use the original elete just about every day in training. It's almost a staple for us. No matter the temperature (hot or cold), when you are pushing your body to the limits you need to replace the lost electrolytes that you are losing and elete™ does that. It helps us to avoid fatigue and steer clear of any cramping. Other electrolyte replacements are too sugary and often unnecessary during training. We'd rather be getting those calories from quality foods than empty liquid calories. We were immediately hooked to the CitriLyte. Elete had the right idea when it added essential elements that your body needs to their already great product. The CitriLyte has a great subtle flavour and is perfect for any athlete looking to perform.

July 2003: 15 kids ended up on IV transfusion after trekking through Wyoming. Dehydration was rampant from mild to severe. Multiple youth were taken off the handcart trail and shuttled to base camps with heat exhaustion. July 2006: average trail temperature in Wyoming was 102 degrees. 260 teenagers pulled handcarts 27 miles. elete was in every water container. Two kids dropped with exhaustion. No IV’s were administered. No dehydration. Youth and adults are solid on elete™. The difference between Gatorade®* and elete is incomparable. Our experience is phenomenal!

This past summer in Kandahar was particularly hot. It was not uncommon for the temperatures to reach as high as 60+ Celsius (140+ F), with a daily average being mid 50+C (130+ F). Coupled with the fact that our members and soldiers were wearing and carrying well 60-75 pounds of equipment and weapons. The stifling heat was certainly enough to make any endeavour an exercise of pain and discomfort.

Further to this, our area of operation experienced a shortage of water supplements. Both CivPol members and soldiers were rationed in their supplement usage, to only be distributed to elements "leaving and working outside the wire". The receipt of elete supplement packets at the height of the summer season, was an unexpected but welcome surprise.

I know that you probably receive many letters of thanks, from soldiers and civilian personnel working in the two theatres of conflict, Afghanistan and Iraq. But I wanted to add my personal "thank you".

Although I had never heard of elete prior to receiving the care packages, I am now a true believer. I can honestly say, that elete supplements helped and saved both myself, my contingent members and elements of the Force Protection Unit here at the PRT, while we were out doing our jobs.

Thank you for your support and the generous donation of product to the folks here at the KPRT. You certainly made this past summer more bearable and those packets of elete, which remain, will continue to assist the new rotation of CivPol and military personnel, who continue the good work here in Kandahar.

Yours very sincerely and respectfully
